KOSKA’s Capsule Collection Offers an Easy Pill To Swallow

Founded by Mickaël Koska, the eponymous KOSKA, a Marseille-based studio specializes in home furnishings and accessories ranging from mirrors to tables to wall hooks. The studio’s playful collection of capsule-like lighting and cacti-shaped lamps feature LED filament bulbs that are evocative of the designer’s childhood.

If the Coco looks like an egg, it’s no mistake – the powder coated steel lamp was inspired by the designer’s childhood memories of an egg cup. The Coco is available in a multitude of finishes, spanning from colorful to luxe with a few options finished with an earthly patina.

Each handmade lamp features an old school style LED filament globe light bulb nested into a steel or wooden base, resulting in a singular capsule form intended to produce a warm secondary light source for surfaces or in larger editions, on the floor.

KOSKA expands on the idea – literally – with the Cactus tube floor lamps, a linear abstraction of the desert plant finished in borosilicate glass, paired with vertical LED tube lighting and terracotta bases, or adorned with aluminum bands.
