Customized Flooring Is at Your Fingertips With Mohawk Group’s New Personal Studio

It’s said that the well of creativity will never run dry, and Mohawk Group has just added more water with the release of its Personal Studio design tool. The first of its kind, Personal Studio is a seamless visualization platform that gives designers a way to create custom flooring solutions for all of their contract projects. Able to handle every soft surface construction type, Personal Studio provides innovative, real-time renderings, room scenes and other digital assets as the selected flooring pattern is recolored and personalized. To get started, pull up the user-friendly interface and choose a pattern and other specifications from Mohawk Group or hospitality brand Durkan’s vast library of carpet products – and set aside some time to get creative.

“Personal Studio helps customers create their own paths to better design with more options for personalizing products, giving them all the assets they need for visualizing and specifying commercial flooring,” said Framarz Mistry, director of design technology for Mohawk Group. “With Personal Studio, the process to order samples of your personalized flooring starts with a single click. Our customers and their dedicated account executives can track the progress of their designs and samples from start to finish in real-time.”

Take it from us, you can spend hours personalizing patterns on the platform and still feel there are more to explore, particularly if you have a love of color theory. But once you find yourself satisfied with a Mohawk Group or Durkan pattern, choose a room – hospitality, workplace, education or healthcare themed – and see what your design would look like once installed.

We found this three-dimensional facet of the interface to be very valuable, especially when it comes to experimenting with patterns and scale. The digital assets you’ve created in Personal Studio can also be used in standard CAD drawings and 3D visualization software, giving you the streamlined tools you need to achieve the perfect design efficiently.

One more, perhaps surprising, benefit of using Personal Studio is the ways it helps to streamline workflow. Because the interface was created especially for Mohawk’s commercial and hospitality flooring divisions, there’s no more clicking back and forth between different programs. You can now use your customized design for multiple spaces and product types, as well as save them to your account within the platform for future reference. And, if you’d like a more tactile solution to see for yourself or to share with clients, simply request a digital, printed or physical sample of your creation. This type of flexibility holds real value in the industry, and we can’t wait to see what you make with it.
