The Minimal Circus Wood Chair by EDITS Design

Circus Wood is a minimal chair designed by Vancouver-based studio EDITS Design. While a familiar new-century refresh to the archetypal mid-century Scandinavian wooden chair, Circus Wood utilizes innovative construction details and advanced manufacturing to achieve its elegant form.

Produced in one of the oldest and most skilled family-owned factories in Italy, the chair is an intelligent blend between industrial production and meticulous craftsmanship. Focused on low-impact sustainability, the chair is produced in FSC-certified and sustainably managed forests throughout Europe.

The result is a chair that has no visible fixtures beyond the screws beneath the seat connecting the frame. The upholstery fabrics are produced with natural fibers, and any lacquers or glues produce no VOC emissions. Even the packaging is made from recycled content and is itself fully recyclable, with only a small amount of EPE foam protecting the most high-impact areas.
