How the Shapes From Home Furniture Collection Went From Dream to Reality

Levi Christiansen’s Shapes From Home furniture collection is quite literally the stuff of dreams – the five pieces were inspired by lucid dreams of a world of objects buried within his subconscious mind. The dreams first showed up when Christiansen was a child, only coming to fruition after his mother met an oracle who told her that his work is reminiscent of another life. Inspired, he dove into a place he’s never seen in waking life to make his visions real.

The Arizona-based self-taught furniture designer began the process with a family of shapes he hoped to use as a map. This study led to refined, distilled forms that grew to feel familiar and comfortable. And through detailed handcrafting and heirloom materials, Christiansen made what once lived only in his mind tactile. The Straddle Side Table, Plural Table, Juntos Shelf, Rhoco Chair, and There, There Sofa follow Christiansen’s organic approach to design, blending style and functionality.
