For this month’s Designer Desktop, we’re featuring a collaborative design by interior designer Nikki Chu for RoomMates, a division of York Wallcoverings that manufactures wall decals, peel & stick wallpapers, and other decorative peel & stick products. This design, named Amhara, is inspired by historic Amhara art that’s typically found in religious paintings. Although it’s derived from an ancient art style, Amhara actually works well for modern interiors because of its abstract lines and loose dot textural fill. The peel & stick wallcovering is easy to install, repositionable, and removable, so your walls are safe if you ever want to redecorate.
