Sonos Roam Springs Into a Trio of New Colors

The Sonos Roam is one of the best portable wireless speakers for its sound quality, durability, and portable form factor. That said, it was previously limited to a limited palette of two monochromatic options – black or white. Now, color lovers can rejoice with the release of three new Roam options: Sunset, Wave, and Olive.

As a refresh, this is purely an aesthetic update. The Roam remains an IP67-rated waterproof, drop resistant wireless Bluetooth and Airplay-enabled speaker delivering in the ballpark of ten hours of playback. You can still operate it using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, if you like to get verbose with your home tech too. The most portable of Sonos’ range is also equipped with the audio brand’s signature Trueplay tuning technology, which the Roam does automatically to adapt its output according to its surroundings.

With spring well on its way, and summer around the corner, the Roam presents itself as an ideal picnic or beach trip companion, especially if you’re already invested into the Sonos ecosystem. Even in home use, it’s a surprisingly noticeable supplementary addition to listening alongside a Sonos One or other models within the vicinity; we like to use our older model in the kitchen while washing dishes.

The Roam is available today in all five colors via the Sonos shop.
