Sea Anemone Inspired This System of Translucent Vases

Nature continues to be a limitless source of inspiration for designers, as evident in the Anemona collection by delaO design studio. Spanish for anemone, the Anemona system of colorful glass vases pays homage to the captivating sea creature’s characteristics, like color and translucency. Each vase is handmade out of tempted borosilicate glass by skilled glassworkers in Mexico City. The collection comprises six vases, but the real beauty is revealed when you interact with them.

By stacking the volumes, the user can create 26 multi-colored compositions which showcases how color and transparency can change and interact through different volumes and proportions. Of course, the six vases are beautifully designed so that you can use them as single objects that still create a statement on a tabletop or shelf.
