A Mini House That Feels Large When Surrounded by Nature

While still in the concept phase, this 484-square-foot tiny home design by Bologna-based firm STUDIOFEM is too good not to share. Architects Francesca Morsiani and Mujgan Merve Rinaldi designed The Mini with a proposed location in the village of Cavusin, Nevsehir, Turkey surrounded by mountains. The rectangular structure is clad in dark brown vertical panels interspersed with floor-to-ceiling windows for a sleek, minimalist exterior.

The full-height windows ensure the interior will be filled with natural light while offering the occupants framed views of its surroundings. The large panes help connect the inside with the landscape and make the interior appear larger.

Despite its limited square footage, the interior feels open with sight lines to the outdoors from most angles. In the open living space, the kitchen cabinets run along one wall before turning into a built-in bench at the entrance of the bedroom. The low surface also acts as a shelf to hold books and objects.
