A Colorful Pediatrician’s Office Kids Will Love to Visit

Everybody remembers being a kid and hating going to the doctor – am I right? The potential of shots or awful tasting medicine put the fear in all of us, which was not helped by the bland office decor. The sterile beige and mint green environment left much to be desired, and sadly, many doctor’s offices remain that way in modern times. It’s no wonder why we all dread the experience. Cut to medical offices doing it right, like The Apple Tree, a pediatrician’s office in Athens, Greece. At the helm of the design is studiomateriality, who previously tackled this fun coffee shop in Athens called coffix, so it’s no surprise they’re the ones behind The Apple Tree.

The office is drenched in bright, bold colors that give nod to the Memphis movement. The color blocking and playful approach are bound to disarm any child’s fear, and if they don’t, there’s a play area with a climbing wall and other activities to keep them busy until appointment time.

Curved doorway and rounded windows were incorporated to contrast all the hard angles of the rectangular space.

Even the exam rooms are delightful with pale pink walls and floors, patterned fabric and fun wall art.
