A Pretzel-Like Chair That’s Reversible

Michal Maciej Bartosik’s Battery Park Pretzel Chair is a finalist in the Battery Conservancy Americas “Draw Up A Chair” Design Competition. And so it should be with its really cool continuous tubular design that seems to fold itself into an ergonomic pretzel. It pays homage to the iconic cantilever chair, achieving a new form with minimal material and labor, while being both lightweight and stable.

My favorite part of the design is that you can flip the chair upside-down and still sit in it! Totally reversible. A recycled rubber roller also acts as a lumbar like back support in the task position.
