A Wooden Knife Designed to Fit Comfortably in Your Hand

Designer Chifen Cheng set out to reinvent the knife by not only changing up the material it’s made from, but adding functionality that you’d normally only get from additional kitchen tools. Designed for Maison MilanThe Knife’s is a wooden knife with a solid walnut blade that will slice through lettuce and vegetables with ease while its cast-iron handle grinds spices, salt, pepper, and nuts, just like a mortar and pestle.

The handle is easy to grip whether you’re cutting, grinding, or scooping up ingredients off the cutting board with its wide blade. Most metal knives seem to brown or bruise the lettuce and vegetables while chopping, but the wooden blade doesn’t. Another bonus? It’s a great knife for kids to use.

The Knife is available for purchase here.
