After Image by Monocomplex

Monocomplex’s new lamp, After Image, was inspired from the scene of mouse fire play (‘Jui-bool-no-ri’ in Korean language), which is one of Korea’s traditional customs.

After Image expresses the fast “afterimage” of fire moving quickly, recreating the natural curve using wires and steel pipes, which were combined irregularly and connected along the natural flow of the fire. The curves reflect the light’s continuity and durability. There is something lovely in the mess of wire that definitely reminds me of the glow left by a moving flame…
