Angá Arquitectura Designs a Modern Rental Home in São Paulo, Brazil

Designed by Angá Arquitetura, Casa Patropi is a modern rental house that, despite its contemporary and striking volume, blends into its lush surroundings on Guaecá Beach on the coast of São Paulo, Brazil. Characterized by its soothing green and blue color palette representative of the ocean, mountains and vegetation, the home was designed to appeal to multiple tastes in order to be easy to rent out.

The home is characterized by two blocks: the private quarters and the social areas. The four bedrooms feature large windows that face the borders of the home for privacy. The furniture in the rooms is simple yet inviting and indicative of the tropical environment. Intended for short stays, it contains support for suitcases, hangers for bags and hats, custom dressers designed by the studio, side tables, beds and colorful headboards that extend across the wall. The blue and green color palette is prevalent throughout.

The bathrooms have ventilated skylights to allow natural lighting to stream through, as well as provide an outlet for the shower steam.

The social areas are enclosed with glass doors that, when open, allow for cross ventilation and integration of the indoor/outdoor living style. This area includes the living room, dining room, swimming pool, tv room and covered terrace with a barbecue grill, lounge chairs and tables for meals. For these areas, views of the gardens and mountains can be enjoyed.

The exterior of the home is covered with green tiles and the central tunnel is painted blue, completing the design brief of a home that truly blends into its beautiful background.
