YLAB Arquitectos Barcelona unveiled a recent project during Barcelona Design Week 2015 of a renovated apartment in the Diagonal Mar district of Barcelona. The renovation shifted how the spaces were broken up to focus on larger common areas that direct you to the terrance and the views.
The kitchen, living room, and dining room are connected and make up the common area, which lines up with the large window.
The main color in the apartment is an ivory white which they paired with warm oak wood finishes and dark graphite accents. The backsplash in the kitchen and the similar finishes in the living room create a cohesive interior.
In the living room, dining room, and studio, the windows are encased in large graphite frames that outline the city views.
The living room was furnished with a Casadesus sofa, a Sata iCole lamp, two Nelson coffee tables by Vitra, and a Matèria shop rug.
Grey porcelain tiles cover the entire bathroom except the ceiling which is clad in oak wood.
