Artist Retreat by 0 to 1

The Artist Retreat house was designed as a live/work space to be built on the property of a fine artist in Fiskars, Finland. The shape of the space is actually a quarter of an octagon, with the size increasing from the front of the building to the back. The largest section of the octagon contains the sleeping loft while the center section contains the workspace and the open section is for outdoor use.

The NYC-based product design and architecture firm 0 to 1 designed the unbuilt Artist Retreat. Don’t you want one in your backyard?
