Aster Cucine Collaborates with workshop/apd

Timeline is a new collection from contemporary kitchen manufacturer Aster Cucine in collaboration with New York-based design studio workshop/apd. The new line is inspired by craftsmanship and artistry of the past, embracing both a vintage and contemporary style.

Design principals at workshop/apd Matthew Berman and Andrew Kotchen selected cabinetry, countertops and backsplashes in materials such as Venetian ceruse (a whitening compound used in the 16th century on human skin as well as cabinetry) applied to white oak; wire mesh inspired by French country cabinets, antique mirror glass; oxidized metal, weathered steel, and bronzed glass — all used in a modern way. Kitchens also can be “personalized” with art panels by Toronto artist Murray Duncan.

The Timeline kitchen line is available to US consumers and will be on display starting in September at the award-winning New York Citykitchen and bath design company Urban Homes Inc.
