Babele is a playful, self-produced lamp from brand new design studio based in Ivrea, Italy called MID (manifattura italiana design).
Their starting point was a classic abat-jour silhouette, which they played around with: disassembling it in plain sections, shuffling and putting them back in order, creating and defining light gaps. The lamp that has resulted is like a giant wooden puzzle whose illuminating center shines through gaps in the puzzle pieces. Twist them around to create your own design.

I love this lamp and think anyone with youthful personality would love it too. I like the simplicity of the wooden puzzle pieces, which hook onto the glowing, cylindrical lamp. Thanks for sharing!

Great design. I have seen a lot of new lamps this and previous year but this one strikes me as one of the best. Available via weborder?
