Lighting designer Bec Brittain has kept busy this year, especially during NYCxDesign where she debuted new work at ICFF and pieces with Roll & Hill.
Taking the SHY collection in a new direction, SHY 21 (above image also) fits one nestled shape inside a larger one and uses more regular geometry. Mixed finishes make the shapes standout more.
One of the new Echo fixtures, Echo 2, is short and very wide (54″ in diameter x 24″ high) and has opal white glass.
The other Echo fixture, Echo 4 is made with custom perforated glass.
The Twin Vise doubles the fun of the single Vise light with two globes and a metal structure that’s shared in the middle.
THEMIS is a sconce inspired by Victorian balancing toys with its two globes that balance from a central round hub and a triangular piece of marble that allow slight movements.
Next up are pieces from her collaboration with Roll & Hill:
Maxhedron’s materials change looks depending on if the light is on or off.
The Maxhedron Pendant features the same two-way mirror glass that’s paired with brushed brass or polished nickel.
The Seed series was inspired by a seed crystal which is a tiny crystal used to grow larger ones.
Cross candlesticks are made from two-dimensional shapes that are cross with another to become three-dimensional objects.
