Bios Incube Turns Your Body Into a Tree After You Die

It doesn’t get more full circle than this. Bios Incube is a biodegradable urn that turns your ashes into a tree. *Cue Lion King music*

Rather than seeing death as an ending, the creators of Bios Incube wanted to celebrate life in a different way. Whether it’s a person or a pet, city dweller or non-traditionalist, the Bios Incube offers a sustainable alternative to celebrating the cycle of life. They want to change the taboo topic and turn it into something that can help us remember loved ones in a meaningful way.

The urn itself is biodegradable and holds the cremated ashes of a loved one. It comes with an incubator that facilitates growth and, of course, even a app.

The Bios Incube has a special sensor that monitors the environmental conditions of your urn, such as levels of light exposure, electrical conductivity, and moisture and temperature in the atmosphere and soil. The Incube then sends information to the built-in irrigation system that helps water and maintain your seedling. That information is also sent to the app, so you can monitor the growth, even when you’re away.
