A Brazilian Beach House for Weekends & Holidays
View Slideshow

Xangri-lá’s coastal location in southern Brazil makes it a hotspot for vacationers. A young couple looking to get in on the vacation action hired Arquitetura Nacional to design Casa Enseada for them to rest on the weekends and holidays. The design stacks two volumes off-center, each made of different materials – wood and concrete – which provides overhangs to shade the ground level’s outdoor spaces.

Sliding glass doors remove the separation between indoors and out, extending the square footage.
