Canyon Point Residence by RKD Architects

Located in Telluride, Colorado, the Canyon Point residence by RKD Architects is the epitome of mountain luxury. Surrounded by mountain views and overlooking a canyon that drops 1500 feet below, the 10,000 square foot home combines a look that is both rustic and modern. Inside, there are six bedrooms, an office, and a workout room, while outside there is a pond, hot tub, and a fire pit.

The rooms are large and open with floor-to-ceiling triple pane windows to enjoy the view and to let in maximum daylight. The large kitchen features a curved exterior wall with windows above the lower cabinets and a massive island. Predominantly constructed of stone, wood, and glass, both inside and out, the house still remains cozy despite its large size. The stone walls and wood beams throughout give an organic feel that make me ask – is it time for a ski vacation yet?
