CH House by GLR Arquitectos

GLR Arquitectos demolished an old home where the brand new CH House sits. Playing up the city views of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the residence was designed to benefit from its location, and unlike most homes, the front of this house is where it opens up to enjoy those views.

A double height living room opens up to an infinity pool that is placed in the front of the property. A semi-covered terrace doubles the living room square footage with the help of floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Above the terrace is the home office that appears to float with two walls of glass that help capture the view and bring light into the central part of the residence.

In the living room, curvy concrete skylights add architectural details to the ceiling while also bringing light inside.

Original rock was kept on the property, bringing a bit of nature and texture to several rooms in the house, like the kitchen, breakfast room, family room, and master bedroom.

The rock is at the back part of the house where only a small portion of a garden remains.
