If ever there was a place where dreams were made, I’m pretty sure the Poncelet Cheese Bar Barcelona would be it. Designed by estudi{H}ac, the new spot is located inside the Hotel Meliá Sarriá and deliciously fills a total of 400 square meters (4305 square feet).
From the start, the restaurant makes a bold impression with an imposing facade made up of wooden pieces that form a three-dimensional diamond pattern.
A reception area greets patrons with a library-type setup that offers a plethora of information about cheese. You’ll notice that the diamond pattern continues on the interior.
It feels like a lounge with the various colorful chairs you can choose from to relax in while you wait for your table.
Through an assortment of spaces, diners will get a unique experience. Full of colors and live plants, including the vertical green wall, they’ve created an atmosphere you could spend lots of time in – sitting back, eating cheese, and having cocktails.
The colors continue with small sticks of wood that hang down tying the spaces together.
