CSYS™ Task Light by Jake Dyson

Jake Dyson and his team have spent the better part of 10 years perfecting their own lighting technology to overcome the issues that come with current LEDs. Now, they’ve joined the Dyson company to further advance their work and Jake will be working with Dyson’s 2,000 engineers to make it happen. The results of Jake Dyson’s extensive research have already led to an incredible design – his CSYS™ LED task light.

First, CSYS™ task lights conquered the the problem of overheating by using heat pipe technology to draw heat away from the LEDs – in turn, they won’t lose efficiency for approximately 37 years! Second, they use gravity to stay in place instead the conventional tension. That means, the CSYS™ lights move smoothly three different ways – the arm moves vertically using a counterweight pulley system and extends horizontally 10.8″ along anti-friction bearings, while the weighted base rotates around 360°.

The high power LEDs produce a warm, white light that has touch-sensitive, continuous dimming for the perfect amount of light. It even has a memory so that it turns back on to the last level of brightness.

The CSYS™ range now includes floor and desk lamps (with a base or a clamp).
