A Custom Made Bike Frame With 3D-Printed Parts

Flying Machine has just introduced their latest bike model/production concept, called the 3DP-F1, that features 3D printed titanium lugs with titanium tubing. This means that they’re capable of creating the perfect ‘made to measure’ frame for each individual customer. They worked with CSIRO (Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organization) in Melbourne with the only 3D printer in the southern hemisphere able to produce the titanium parts for the bike.

The 3D-printed parts allow for every frame to be fully ‘made to measure’ for each customer, plus allow for a fast turnaround for production and a high level of design flexibility for future models. Due to the bespoke 3D-printed lugs, a fully tailored, custom frame for your bike can be built within 10 days of order, and completely finished within 3 weeks.
