Take A Look at the TUMI 19 Degree Collection + We’re Launching Travel Guides!

We’re really excited about our our brand-new travel section here on Design Milk and our sister Instagram, @designmilktravels. Besides featuring dream-worthy vacation spots in our Destination Design column to travel to, we’re kicking off a series of travel guides in partnership with renowned travel brand TUMI to help you navigate the most noteworthy art-, architecture- and design-focused things to do and see in a variety of cities around the world. Think of these guides as a what to do and see for creatives.

Along with travel comes luggage, a component just as important as where you’re staying, which is why we’re thrilled to see the latest collection that TUMI just launched. 19 Degree is the brand’s first foray into aluminum luggage aiming to elevate your travels with the ease of a top-quality suitcase. The bag’s bold, architectural design features fluid organic ripples that are imprinted in its aluminum exterior making it the ultimate travel companion.

The ultra durable collection utilizes a reinforced framecase with snap closures (two for carry-on and three for check-in) and die-cast corner caps to reinsure extra protection. On the inside, a lightweight lining featuring an embossed diamond pattern works in conjunction with the exterior design. The suitcases are outfitted with four dual-spinning recessed wheels for easy mobility, a patented X-Brace 45® degree telescoping handle system in aircraft-grade aluminum that reduces weight, and TSA-approved locks for added security.

As with other TUMI collections, the aluminum 19 Degree suitcases will come in a range of carry-on and check-in sizes, and they’re available in Silver and Matte Black.

Keep your eyes peeled: our first Travel Guide will launch next week!
