Design Shenzhen: The New Design Show You Need To Know
From February 27 to March 2, 2023, Design Shenzhen, presented by Design Shanghai, will open the doors to its inaugural show in the “Silicon Valley of China.” The design fair takes place at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (SZCEC), a cultural and architectural landmark of the city. With over 200 curated brands coming to participate in one of Asia’s leading design exhibitions, the city will be buzzing with exciting energy as the show expects to welcome over 50,000 visitors from the creative industry. There will be many key events throughout the four days – here are three we’ll be following:
The Good Design Select, presented by industrial designer Xiaoxi Shi in collaboration with G-Mark Japan Good Design Award, will showcase dozens of award-winning Japanese designs to Shenzhen. These designs all aim to enrich lives, industries, and society as a whole.
Design has the power to affect wellness, from furniture design to biomedical engineering to neuroscience. At WellConnect, curated by David Hugh, a team from Cambridge, England, and the Guoke Longhui Foundation, we’ll discover various brands that will demonstrate just how technology and design affects one’s body, mind, work, and living.
Sony, a leading and award-winning name in design, will put on a grand showcase of the brand’s contributions to a wide range of design activities, including user experience, communication, entertainment, and more. Sony’s fusion of creativity and technology has led to richer experiences and more comfortable lifestyles, all of which will be on display at this exhibition, titled “Nature. Resonance.”
