Desktop Wallpaper: September 2020

Can you believe that it’s already September? September marks the end of summer (this year on the 22nd, FYI!) and to give it a proper send off, we’re featuring a modern spin on the coastal seashell pattern. Designed by Charleston, South Carolina-based Emily Daws of Emily Daws Textiles, Edisto features hand-drawn silhouettes of shells common to the beach town it’s named after. Emily’s chosen a fitting quote by Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu to pair with her pattern: “Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” It’s reminding us to take pause this month to enjoy the rest of summer instead of letting the busyness of each day carry us away.

In addition to wallpaper, Emily also designs textiles, home decors, and even masks so you can socially distance properly while you’re at the beach. We love how every print can create a calming space with a pastel color way or liven up a space with a darker, more contrasting color way.
