Dusen Dusen for Visual Magnetics

During this year’s NYCxDesign, Dusen Dusen partnered with Visual Magnetics on a large-scale, geometric wall installation that encouraged visitor participation. Using Visual Magnetics’ ModuLayer magnetic elements from their Dynamic Spaces collection (see more below), they created bold shapes, a signature of Dusen Dusen, in vibrant gradient colors, that could  be moved around on the gradient background.

The Dynamic Spaces collection is a collection of magnetic materials that work at home or the office. The magnetic wall coverings let you bring your own personal style to a wall without being committed to one particular design. If you’re bored, you can move the elements around for a different look. If you’re not digging their patterns they also print custom designs.

How do they stick? They have an entire system that starts with a magnetic primer that goes on the walls. A mid layer goes on that’s made up of flexible magnetized tiles. Finally a surface layer that’s magnetic receptive which is available in 20+ finishing options.

They even make shelves as part of their InvisiLock system that lets you place one of their objects that’s outfitted with InvisiLock onto any wall or surface also outfitted with InvisiLock.
