Dwell on Design Exclusive House Tour: Hyperion Project

This is the last in our 2011 Dwell on Design exclusive house tours series – I hope that you enjoyed peeking inside all of these fantastic modern LA homes.

Located in Silver Lake, this original 1930s residential duplex is an ongoing renovation project including additions by Oyler Wu Collaborative.

The minimalist facade opens up inside to a warm interior with wooden beams and moldings. One of the main architectural details is an aluminum and 100% recycled composite board fence along Hyperion Avenue. Serving as a visual barrier it undulates like turning louvered blinds.

I was unable to attend Dwell on Design this year, but luckily DoD offered to capture some of the homes on the tour exclusively for Design Milk. See all of this year’s exclusive 2011 Dwell on Design house tours here.

Jaime Derringer, Founder + Executive Editor of Design Milk, is a Jersey girl living in SoCal. She dreams about funky, artistic jewelry + having enough free time to enjoy some of her favorite things—running, reading, making music, and drawing.
