Located in an area called Kenway Village, in Earls Court, London, this three-storey 18th century cottage with a blacksmiths workshop attached to the rear was in poor condition before Jason MacLean of Studio MacLean got to it. The 1500-square-foot property needed to basically be rebuilt but luckily the client was extremely flexible with the design and construction.
MacLean was given free reign over the design, creating built-in and custom furnishings throughout including the entire kitchen and a desk with floating drawers.
Other pieces include a De Sede sofa with George Nelson side table, Eley Kishimoto ‘flash’ kitchen chairs, with vintage porcelain wall and ceiling lights. The lights above the kitchen were made from various components from a company called Urban Cottage Industries.
