Etta: Multifunctional Furniture for Indoor Plants

Italian furniture brand Zilio A&C recently partnered with design duo Livia Rossi and Gianluca Giabardo of Dossofiorito on a multifunctional piece of furniture called Etta. The design acts as a place to display your plants and objects, it’s a space divider, and it also offers a place to sit, perfect for putting on your shoes.

The original discussion was to create a place for indoor plants, which led to the idea of letting the plants grow to become a natural divider for interior spaces. The playful, modular Etta answers that and then some with its finished design made up of four removable components. There’s a small round shelf, two different upright screens, and an upholstered backrest that you can reconfigure to a setup that works for you, your plants, and your storage situation.

Etta launched at the 2017 Salone del Mobile and Collezione SaloneSatellite in Milan.
