Most likely, if you’re looking for an attractive bike hanger, you don’t have a lot of space to spare and your bike probably remains out in the open. Therefore, a multifunctional bike storage unit would probably be a bonus, right? Imagine being able to hang your bike, plus store some of the stuff that goes with it and not fear that it will make your house look like a garage.
Chrome Ltd, a Latvian design firm, has designed bike shelf called FIXA, which is Latin word meaning “fixed.” This multifunctional bike shelf is designed to provide clever bike and accessories storage with storage space inside and a flat surface on the top that you can use as a catch-all table for your keys, wallet, smartphone, etc.

The Knife & Saw has been making this exact shelf for ages.

As has this guy:

I found his site on one of the more prominent design sites (like yours) a couple years back. I feel like the little guy is getting the short end of the stick.

He calls this shelf the “original bike rack” on his website. As does Knife & Saw. I’m not sure which one came first.

i agree. ‘design-milk’ posting/promoting this is irresponsible. this was designed by knife & saw and ripped off by chrome ltd.

I don’t even know why I’m bothering replying to an anonymous comment, but the reason we posted this was because of the hidden storage compartment with removable lid, which is not a part of the Knife & Saw design… nor is the two-tone wood design. I understand that the designs are similar, but as Brian mentioned there are other companies making similar designs and saying they are the “original”. I can appreciate them all, but I happen to like this one because it has a storage area.
