FREITAG Launches a Drawstring Bag Made From Recycled Materials

Zurich-based FREITAG is adding a new material into the mix when it comes to their line of bags and accessories made out of recycled truck tarps. To complement the tarps, they’re combining it with a flexible textile made using 100% recycled PET plastic bottles. The new ToP (Tarp on PET) venture launches with a lightweight, expandable drawstring bag named the F610 CINNAMON.

The new bag still incorporates the original, one-of-a-kind truck tarps for their uniqueness and durability while the PET textile keeps the bag soft and lightweight. Not only is the material made from plastic bottles, it’s colored using a spin dye method that requires less water and energy, and much fewer chemicals than conventional dyeing methods.

The multipurpose bag can be carried by the top handles or as a backpack. A drawstring allows easy access to the main compartment and a magnetic closure on the outside.
