Geometric Candelabra: Chandelier TAIJITU by Barnabé Ribay

French designer Barnabé Ribay created the TAIJITU candelabra inspired by the Chinese philosophy that life is based on a fundamental value that consists of two principles both complementary and opposed. This is probably more widely known as yin and yang, which is just one of many visual representations of Taijitu.

Inspired by duality, the designer wanted to pair up different materials (wood and steel) and yet create a harmonious piece where each side relies on each other to exist.

The candelabra was recently exhibited during Stockholm Design Week 2013 at the LYDMAR Hotel.
