Go Inside the Playful + Colorful LEGO Group Campus in Denmark

The LEGO Group just celebrated the opening of their new, state-of-the-art campus in Billund, Denmark. The 54,000-square-meter campus is designed by C.F. Møller Architects to reflect the LEGO Group ethos: ‘Imagination, Fun, Creativity, Learning, and Quality.’ The campus took five years to plan and construct but now offers innovative workspaces for approx. 2,000 LEGO employees, as well as visiting colleagues from across the globe.

From the giant LEGO figure outside to the light-filled lobby with spiraling yellow stairs, the campus welcomes visitors to a playful environment infused with primary colors. The design focuses on fun, inclusiveness, and collaboration, allowing employees to be their most creative selves in order to bring that same experience to children everywhere,

Biophilia plays a key role in the design with natural light and greenery incorporated into all of the spaces. Flexible and open workspaces are separated with “green” partitions housing plants and planters.

The LEGO Campus includes the ‘People House’ concept which provides employees and their families spaces to network and play during and after work. Places for relaxation, inspiration, and recharging include a state-of-the-art fitness center, creative workshop space, LEGO homestay for visiting colleagues, a cinema, outside park + activity zone, a kitchen, and a health clinic.
