A Graphic, Minimalist Apartment in Poland

Beginning with the homeowner’s love of minimalism and working with a tight budget, Peters Flat was designed by Mili Młodzi Ludzie in Łazarz, Poznań, Poland. To keep the small space from appearing cluttered, massive built-ins were designed to conceal anything and everything within the apartment. To top off the all-white space, they created graphic black lines that stretch around the interior.

Elongated tubes of light were incorporated into the black lines as not to disrupt the clean white spaces.

Although there are only a couple of pieces of furniture in the apartment, they kept them black. Bringing in a bit of color, they went with a bright rug in the living room.

Handles were cut out of the cabinet panels, keeping the black lines going around the space.

Across from the sofa, the built-ins hide the TV, storage, and a desk.

The kitchen is also hidden behind the wall of white cabinets keeping a cohesive look on that long wall.

Near the front door there’s a ladder to take the homeowner to the loft which hides a bed. Now he doesn’t have to make the bed up everyday!

Below the loft is the bathroom where they continued the black and white theme, this time with a pixelated pattern of tiles that go up the walls.
