Three guys with varied backgrounds joined together to form Greycork, one came from a manufacturing legacy, one was a furniture designer from RISD, and the last was an industrial designer, also from RISD. Their goal was to create a collection of modern furnishings that were a step up from IKEA, but would be easy to assemble with no tools, last longer, be better designed, and would carry roughly the same price point. The end result is their living room collection that is shipped to you flat packed in a box letting you quickly assemble it yourself when it arrives on your doorstep.
The initial product out of the gate is their Greycork sofa that ships directly to you in a 5.5″ box and assembles in about 4 minutes with zero need for tools. They also have a compatible chaise that can be used with the sofa to give you a sectional look or by itself letting you have a three-person sofa and a separate chaise.
The pieces are made from high quality materials that are also easy to take apart when it’s time to move.
After those initial pieces come out, a bookshelf, side table, and coffee table are soon to follow, all laid out on their Indiegogo campaign that’s helping them get the entire collection off the ground. If you order the entire collection from their crowdfunding site, the cost is about $1130 and it will take you about 20 minutes to assemble everything. Not bad at all…
