Hex Chair by Michael Young

This futuristic, throne-like Hex Chair is designed by British-born, Hong Kong-based Michael Young. It’s made from die cast aluminum, in a complex, lost wax gravity injection process performed by Chinese engineers. The limited edition piece will be displayed at Design Miami from November 30 to December 4 by Swedish gallery Modernity. In addition to Young and other high concept 21st century designers, the gallery also represents mid-century masters Hans Wegner, Alvar Aalto, and Arne Jacobsen.
