High Point Market Spring 2012: Leif Petersen

Leif Peterson is an international distributor of fine luxury Italian furniture and decor, which we’re so passionate about here on Design Milk, so they were kind enough to support our trip to High Point this year. Their showroom in High Point is located in 220 Elm and they currently represent ten companies whose offerings work cohesively as a whole, therefore, it’s almost like one-stop shopping! Alivar (furniture), Bonaldo (furniture), Cierre (leather), Fornasarig (furniture), Jesse (furniture) Lafer (recliners), Linie Design (rugs), Penta (lighting), Saba Italia, and Tonelli (glass).

Come along for a tour – maybe you’ll see something you like!

The first thing to draw you into the showroom is the Glo lighting fixture by Carlo Colombo for Penta. The gold, silver, and transparent shades sparkle as you walk by and it’s hard not to take notice.

The Eos, designed by Mario Mazzer for Bonaldo, is a fun-shaped coatrack meant to mimic the opening of a crocus flower.

You can’t really tell from the photo but this lighted sideboard cabinet from Jesse is lined in warm wood so it emits a soft glow.

Hey this looks familiar! Colorful lacquered steel legs and a glass table top make up the Big Table that was designed by Alain Gilles for Bonaldo.

Love the angles on this dining table from Tonelli.

This Luz de luna table designed by Giovanni Tommaso Garattoni for Tonelli has a unique glass surface that is reminiscent of a flowing river. I also love the turned, ribbon-like legs.

ICosì geometric metal tables by Afroditi Krassa for Bonaldo, are versatile and can be mixed and matched in many different ways.

Rug samples from Linie Designs. They make various types of high quality rugs in modern colors and textures.

Lighting from Penta.

The Billie Recliner from Lafer looks so cozy with its buttery, soft leather and hidden footrest.

Saba upholstery.

Leather pull handles on furniture from Alivar were a features on several storage pieces.

Perhaps one of the coolest bookcases ever, the Shanghai bookcase by Giuseppe Bavuso for Alivar features a huge crisscrossing grid-like structure to hold all of your stuff.

We love the built-in storage in this sofa!

I especially fell for this table, mostly because it was a nice pop of color in a sea of gray.

We went nuts over this closet setup from Jesse and that cute squat little lamp called China from Penta.

The Chandelier Longchair by Cierre is covered in beautiful leather with a tufted stitching detail.

Many thanks to Leif Petersen for supporting our trip to High Point Market.
