These made me laugh so much that I had to share.
Created by artist Jenny Burrows and copywriter Matt Kappler during school for their portfolios, these fake ads for a famous museum are spot on awesome. And well done. Unfortunately, that major museum was not a fan. Jenny had to change the text at the bottom to read “Museums” and change the logo. You can read all about that here.

Teddy Roosevelt didn’t get shot in the middle of a speech, he was shot before the speech. His speech, which was folded in half in his breast pocket, slowed the bullet but he still went on to give his speech in a blood-soaked shirt. Still pretty hardcore, and a great ad but I imagine museums of all clients might be sticklers for facts.

Brilliant ads for museums. I wish they have accepted them. I really do. It would have been so cool to prove the “cool people of today” that there have been other cooler than them in the past.

if i saw these ads for a historical museum, i would definitely go.
i’m attending a brainstorm with the board of directors for a museum in philly next week to increase student attendance, so i’ll definitely keep these in mind for that!
