ICFF 2014 Trend: Details, Details, Details!

The devil is in the details – that’s for sure – at this year at ICFF. Besides the carryover trends from 2013 like marble, copper and brass, we noticed that people were really paying attention to the little things. It seemed like every lamp or storage piece I looked at had something special, like added jewelry we haven’t seen in a while.

Interesting handle details from Khouri Guzman Bunce Lininger


44Steel had an interesting industrial-inspired door handle that reminded me of an allen wrench


John Eric Byers hand carves wood to make this unique pattern.


KWH had beautifully shaped handles that mimic the lines of their lighting.


Janosi Designs used contrast coloring on the upholstery buttons and wood inlay on this chair and ottoman.


Beautiful inlay on a table by Asher Israelow. Can you imagine how long this took?
