Intentionally Non-Intentional By Derya Arpac

Exploring the limits of concrete while also finding ambiguity in materiality, Intentionally Non-Intentional is a collection of objects meant to store, hold, gather, or display our most valued pieces. After noticing how peoples’ environments are deeply shaped by their behavior and routines, designer Derya Arpac created this collection as a study in how we interact with products we encounter in our daily lives, and how we find the most fitting use for these products.

As a result, Intentionally Non-Intentional consists of generic objects that are purposefully ambiguous, which are then transformed by the user through intention and personalized function. Each item explores the limit of concrete powder with different stones, exploring the use of concrete in small scale objects.
