Kaari in Finnish means “arc” and clearly it’s the perfect name for this table by Juhani Horelli. Initially inspired by the landscape of bridges, the form seemed to reveal itself through the Finnish and Scandinavian tradition of mold pressing veneer. Horelli uses traditional craft in a modern way to create new forms for contemporary living.
Polished with a lacquer finish, it’s also available in walnut, wenge and stripy birch plywood.
I like the little nook for magazines.
