KAZA’s Handmade Tiles Are Now Available in Precast Terrazzo

You may already know KAZA for their luxurious concrete tiles that turn plain walls into bold, three-dimensional accent walls. To flaunt their knack for progressive design and their molding expertise, KAZA has just launched Handcrafted Precast Terrazzo in 8 new surfaces of geometric and organic modularity. The patterns come in geometric triangular and hexagonal combinations as well as more organic references such as Weave by Stockholm-based Note Design Studio.

To create these new tiles, KAZA selected natural stones such as marble, granite, basalt, and limestone in various shapes and added them to their in-house colored cement formula.

The minerals were then exposed to grinding, honing, and polishing to produce mesmerizing patterns. Finally, the studio tweaked the hue, saturation, and contrast to create these tiles that look delicate, intricate and fun.

When she was living abroad after graduation, a chance enrollment at the Architectural Association Visiting School led to her becoming enamored with door schedules and architectural écriture. She's particularly interested in design for aging, rural architecture, and Asian design heritage.
