KBH Chair is a minimal chair created by Copenhagen-based KBH Studio in collaboration with Sonos. The limited-edition chair was developed to celebrate the launch of Sonos’ new white SUB as a complement to the component. The SUB is wireless and is designed to be placed within any room.
The chair was designed to perfectly enhance the Sonos SUB, with the original piece combining Nordic minimalism with warm, natural materials such as smoked oak and velvet. The chair also shares the rounded, quadratic edges of the SUB. As described by the designers, the composition of a song has many similarities to the conception of a furniture piece.
The designers wanted to create a lounge chair that would enhance the listening experience by immersing the user into their music. The chair envelops the user with an array of vertical beams and wide comfortable cushions, allowing the user to listen comfortably for hours on end.
