Lamps Inspired by Craft Paper Food Bags

Designed for lighting manufacturer B.lux, Cone is a collection of lamps by German designer Werner Aisslinger. Looking towards an unusual source for inspiration, Aisslinger studied the old foldable craft paper bag that food used to be packaged in.

The Cone Lights are made of a vitrified porcelain material (bone china) with a textured white finish that results in a small amount of light traveling through the shade, while its cone shape directs light down.

The lamp comes in a suspended version with the option of a single or dual lamp, as well as a wall-mounted version, both complete with copper fittings and joints.
