Last Expo is an online exhibition dedicated to discarded artwork, a collection of photographs of orphaned art headed toward its final resting place.
An initiative of THEY, a creative agency in Amsterdam, Last Expo showcases art stuffed in trashcans, lying in alleys, or unceremoniously dumped along with other garbage. Art thrown out by its last owner. Waiting for the garbage men to take it away. Forever.
Koen van de Wouw, art director and initiator of Last Expo, says: “The last Expo serves as an online homage to otherwise redundant artwork. It is a last salute to abandoned pieces before they get picked up by the garbage truck and vanish from the face of the earth.”
If you have a camera and you spot discarded art, you can submit your photo to be included in Last Expo.
