LAYER: A Stackable Plywood Chair by Oliver Schick Design

Seeing how chairs look when they’re stacked in a tower, Oliver Schick Design created LAYER, a stackable plywood chair for Mitab. The lightweight chair is both sturdy and durable with its legs being sandwiched between the seat and back rest’s two layers.

The hollow-looking seat smoothly transitions to the front legs while the back rest continues down creating the back legs.

The parts are made out of plywood with the contours being CNC milled.

The hole in the back makes it easy to carry the chairs around.
