Leamington Road Villas by Studio 1 Architects

Studio 1 Architects took on the task of turning a one bedroom garden flat in Notting Hill into a three bedroom, three bathroom home that was truly a labor of love. The residence is home to Daniel Rowland, the founder of Studio 1, and his wife and features exposed brickwork, concrete floors, and strategically placed skylights to help flood the interior with natural light.

The exposed brick in the kitchen helps balance out the modern and minimal cabinets and fixtures giving the space texture.

Despite the modern renovation, they’ve managed to keep the original charm of the once Victorian flat.

The interior flows directly into the multi-level, landscaped garden extending the home’s footprint.

Past the garden stairs is a cedar batten clad outbuilding. The space is filled with built-in planters full of plants and trees and beautifully finished with outdoor lighting.
